Aasha has been at her home for well over a decade! Prior to arriving at In-Sync Exotics, Aasha had been relocated twice in her first 4 months of life. As she went from place to place her condition worsened and her trust in people diminished.

By the time Aasha came to her forever home, she was almost completely bald. Approximately 7 months old, but stunted in growth, Aasha was about the size of a bobcat when she arrived. Weighing in at 37 pounds, she wasn’t underweight, but was covered in ringworm (pictured on the right). Her tiny feet were swollen and red; the skin on her tummy was raw, red and cracking. 4 weeks of medicated shampoo and dip baths along with two kinds of oral medications helped to clear up and sooth her skin.

Our shy cub has evolved into a confident, curious, assertive, playful tigress. She also managed to “hook” herself a life mate. Although tigers in the wild are not monogamous, tigers in sanctuaries tend to stay together for life. Aasha and Smuggler met as cubs forging a bond allowing them to reside together.

With the support from her keepers, volunteers, and Smuggler, Aasha spends her days playing with enrichment, swimming in her pool, and telling Smuggler what to do! When you come out, look for the cat chasing her cage mate through the playground! Aasha has grown and matured as a tiger and we feel blessed to be a part of her life.
