Kenobi was found in April of 2018 by U.S. Border Patrol agents along the Mexican border. He had been stuffed into a duffel bag and abandoned. The agents took him to the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville. We were asked to take him in May of 2018. Our intentions were to introduce Kylo Ren while they were both roughly the same size. However, the zoo decided to keep him for a month to monitor his health amongst other delays. In late July of that same year we finally got the call, and drove down and picked up a very handsome Kenobi!

Although there was a difference in size, due to both Kylo Ren and Kenobi’s personalities we were able to introduce them in a controlled environment and later introduce Anakin. The boys became quick best friends and their personalities lent to their names. They are affectionately known as the “Jedi Boys.”

Kenobi is a thoughtful and easygoing boy, often imperturbable to the antics of his “brothers.” Don’t let that fool you though, Kenobi is the hardest of the three to bring in off the playground. His silly antics include running from corner to corner, diving into the pool without looking, and pushing his yellow ball around the playground right into the pool. He also truly enjoys enrichment time; crushing cardboard boxes to a pulp. When you come out, don’t miss out on Kenobi practicing the ways of the “force” to keep the peace by using his stoic, noble, calm and loving presence.
