Saber was one of 8 tiger cubs we rescued from an inhumane Texas breeding facility in 2000. When we first saw her, she was so weak she could hardly hold up her head. She was malnourished, dehydrated and about 20 lbs underweight.
She was also infested with ringworm, mange and impetigo. Bald spots and red, irritated skin covered her body. Saber spent 3 months under the constant care of our veterinarian. She was on IV fluids for 3 days to re-hydrate her.
Saber is now in great health and has a personality that makes you want to do anything to keep her happy. She loves cuddling up with her friends and definitely knows how to get her way with them. She’s very affectionate and rubs up against the fence to get attention. At times, she’ll roll over on her back as if asking for a belly rub.
