Twinkle

A facility in Colorado that was closing needed to place over 100 animals, and we were contacted to help.  We were able to transport some animals to new homes, and also brought home several leopards and tigers. Twinkle and his brothers Diablo and Lazarus were some of these new arrivals.  Twinkle got along well with Diablo, who often intervened if Lazarus tried to push Twinkle around a little. All 3 settled in really well, and became friendly, chuffy cats who loved attention and snuggling together.  On 11/25/17, Twinkle had a seizure and continued to have minor seizures the following day. He was immediately transported to Texas A&M University for an MRI and spinal tap. Results indicated that he had a brain tumor that had been eating away at him for quite some time, and biopsy results confirmed that it was a highly malignant carcinoma.  We were told that chemotherapy and radiation may buy him a few more weeks, and were preparing to bring him home to decide on the best course of action, when Twinkle stopped breathing. We were all so devastated to lose this big, strong, beautiful, friendly boy.
