Gunther is one of nine tigers that were donated to In-Sync in February of 2022 by Terranova Enterprises. In 2019, the USDA permanently revoked Terranova’s exotic animal handling license and fined the owner for multiple violations of the Animal Welfare Act. The surrender of tigers by Terranova is similar to some of In-Sync’s past rescues; they endured the entertainment industry including TV and film appearances, forced photo shoots, and circus performances.

Gunther along with his father, Pasha, mother, Dayo, and sisters Sheba and Mabel, were kept intact in hopes of making more cubs for the entertainment industry. When the family arrived at In-Sync Exotics, they were immediately separated to thwart accidental pregnancies. In order to prevent permanent separation, Gunther and Pasha were neutered within days of their arrival and the family was reunited.

Gunther is a very active young male. Though not quite as big as his father, Gunther loves to use his large stature to ‘pick’ on his sisters during play time and move around his large playground toys as easy as we move a glass of water. After all that play, Gunther enjoys naps in his family cuddle puddle and laps around his playground pool.

Gunther is a white tiger (like his mother Dayo), and contrary to popular belief, white tigers are not a subspecies but rather a genetic mutation. This mutation can often be seen when breeding pairs are related. When you come out for a self guided tour, look for the large white male tiger in Serenity and if you happen to be here for a feeding tour, you’re in for a treat with Gunther! He is not afraid of letting us know that tigers wait for no one.
